Chris has a BS in Technology Education from St. Cloud State
University. He has nearly 20 years of diversified experience
in student transportation services, transportation
logistics, transportation planning, and education. Chris
serves on several area boards and committees including
serving as Mayor of the City of Staples, City of Staples
Economic Development Authority President, Central Minnesota
Area Transportation Partnership, City of Staples Forestry
and Beautification Board,
Crow Wing Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, Quad County Youth Football Board of
Directors. |

Lee graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2008 with a
BA degree in Community Development. He is a member of the
Economic Development Association of Minnesota and the MN

Hanson

Anne Hanson comes to Region Five after 32 years with the
Postal Service. The last eight years she was an
administrative assistant. She was the postal liaison to
Morrison County for the 911 Enhanced Addressing System.
Hanson has an A.A. degree in accounting from Central Lakes
College. At Region Five Anne manages the Individual Sewage
Treatment System (ISTS) program and assists the director in
the Economic Development Department. |

Nicky joined Region Five in March of 2008. She received her
B.S. in Accounting from Bemidji State University
in 2004. Since 2001 Nicky has worked in both public and
private accounting. |

Brittany Borck

Brittany began working with the Pine and Lake Country Local
Foods in August 2008. Through partnerships with the
University of Minnesota Central Regional Partnership and
Region Five Development Commission, the group is working to
advance a local foods initiative in central Minnesota.
Brittany grew up in Michigan, and is a recent resident of
Minnesota, having moved here after earning her B.S. in
Environmental Science from the University of Florida. She
developed an interest in sustainable community development
and active citizen involvement, which led her to AmeriCorps
VISTA and the local foods program. She is excited to be a
part of this initiative and has high hopes for the upcoming
year. |
