Recreational Facilities Inventory

The Statewide Health Improvement Plan (SHIP) Coordinator, in conjunction with Region Five Development Commission, is committed to the health and well being of the members of the community. In order to support that commitment, the SHIP Coordinator has asked for a thorough inventory of the recreational facilities, programs and classes in Crow Wing County.

The purpose of the inventory is to catalogue and document opportunities for members of the community to engage in activities that promo active healthy lifestyles. Without the knowledge of what opportunities are afforded to members of the community, individuals are not able to take advantage of opportunities that may enhance their overall health, well being, and quality of life.

State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP)

The purpose of this inventory is to catalogue and document activities that promote active healthy lifestyles within Crow Wing County. With an abundance of water resources, Crow Wing County offers numerous recreational activities ranging from waters sports, hunting & fishing, to full service fitness centers, to bird watching and trail riding. Without the knowledge of what opportunities are afforded to members of the community, individuals are less likely to take advantage of opportunities that may enhance their overall health, well being and quality of life.
