JOBZ
Referred to as the “mother of all economic development programs” the Job Opportunity Building Zones (JOBZ) initiative is a state economic development incentive program that was created in December of 2003 to stimulate economic development in rural areas of the state. Over 3000 acres of land in our region were designated as “tax free” through this program.
The program allows qualifying businesses that locate on a JOBZ qualified parcel, and receive tax exemptions from corporate taxes, individual taxes, sales and use taxes, most property taxes, and the wind energy production tax through 2015.
- If you are a business interested in the JOBZ program or
