Hazard Mitigation
| The Region Five Development Commission entered into partnerships with Cass, Morrison, Todd and Wadena Counties to develop their individual County Hazard Mitigation Plans and is currently working with Crow Wing county. What is Hazard Mitigation Planning? In short, hazard mitigation planning is a process where the hazards of tomorrow are addressed today. The plans contain a wide-variety of historical hazard information and a series of mitigation measures in the form of goals and strategies that will ensure the impacts of hazards on the areas addressed are reduced or eliminated all together. Region Five has worked with Cass, Morrison, Todd and Wadena counties to develop their Hazard Mitigation plans. Click on the links below to download the plans. |
