Senior Regional Development Planner

Since joining Region Five Development Commission (R5DC) in 2015, Staci has worked in several roles within the organization including transportation, lending and economic development. However, her current role as Senior Regional Development Planner aligns with her strong background in community development, regional planning and local food systems. Her work in local foods has advanced regional food access, agricultural entrepreneurship, and community-led solutions that align with R5DC’s mission to support sustainable and thriving rural communities.
Additionally, manages the annual Economic Development Administration (EDA) planning grant and leads the development of the Comprehensive Regional Economic Development Strategy (CREDS). She works closely with local governments, businesses, and partners to implement strategic initiatives that strengthen the economic vitality and resilience of the Region Five service area.
With a degree in Organizational Behavior, Staci brings expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sector collaboration. She is skilled in navigating complex community conversations, analyzing data, and delivering clear, actionable insights. Lastly, Staci fills the role of Human Resources coordinator, providing general HR oversight to ensure employment laws and regulations are adhered to.
